Wikia has released an update to the forums functionality to make it more like the Message Wall. The Brütal Forum of metal and badassery has not been used here since the Age of the Titans, but if you'd like to give it a spin, let me know and I'll try to raise the relic to make it happen.
I think the forums are a good place for ongoing discussions among multiple people that might otherwise be stuck on a user's talk page and that don't merit a full blog post.Read more >

The other day while attempting to continue my Brütal Legend campaign, I discovered that my save file had become Brütally Corrupted. Symptom: after clicking "Continue", the loading screen appears and the axe spins ... forever. Attempting to quit out of the game resulted in the console restarting.
This is on a PS3 and I've since discovered that it's a common occurrence (that is supposedly fixed by a never-to-be-released patch ... sigh). If you like games like Brütal Legend, Psychonauts, and Stacking, or some of the earlier works of Mr. Tim Schafer, then you'll want to check out this new venture from Double Fine. They're using a Kickstarter campaign to fund an adventure game. Are people interested? Well, they reached the initial $400,000 goal in about eight hours and a day later are already up to $1.5 million from more than 41,000 people, so that would be a "Hell, yeah!"
